Deskripsi

The collaboration program between the Indonesian Organic Alliance and the KEHATI Foundation is a community socio-economic assistance program through forest area management and organic farming. This program empowers farmer groups, women’s groups (PKK and KWT), and young people in developing sustainable organic agriculture for communities on the outskirts of forest areas.

The main activities of the community empowerment program in Pulosari Village, Kalapanunggal Sukabumi are restoration of forest and community empowerment through organic farming and waste management. The agricultural sector is the mainstay to increase the income and welfare of the people of Pulosari Village by developing types of secondary crops, rice (Ciherang, Inpari 32, and Inpari 19), and horticulture (chili, beans, cucumber, long beans and tomatoes).

Strengthening community institutions, both farmer groups, women’s groups and youth groups through activity-based organization will be the driving force of the community in various activities that are environmental conservation and economic strengthening. The main activities are then carried out in various activities for the preservation of the area, increasing the socio-economic empowerment of the community, by utilizing the potential of forest resources in a sustainable manner. These various activities are based on strengthening public awareness of the importance of sustainable forests.
