IndORGANIC is a collaborative organic agriculture research program between the Indonesian Organic Alliance (IOA) and the University of Passau Germany. This research is intended to provide support for the development of organic agriculture in Indonesia in order to encourage a better social life of farmers economically and in the agricultural ecosystem. IOA facilitates activities related to research and field experiments which are divided into two main phases, namely info-sessions and organic farming coaching clinics.

The info-session, which is an information-gathering activity through a survey approach, was held in 60 farmer groups spread across the Tasikmalaya and Yogyakarta areas. 

Each region consists of 15 groups to be involved in advanced organic farming training with the aim of educating organic insights and transferring organic farming application techniques to farmers. The training activities were held separately based on their respective regions, namely in Yogyakarta and Tasikmalaya.

To measure the impact and sustainability of the training that has been held, AOI monitors and facilitates the activities of Coaching Clinics for groups that have received capacity building through training on organic farming applications. Coaching-clinics aims to see the impact that farmers receive after applying organic farming and to find out the difficulties experienced by farmers in practicing organic farming.

As part of this collaborative research program, AOI also facilitates all research activities organized by researchers from Passau University, Atmajaya University Yogyakarta and Bogor Agricultural Institute.
